There have been serious concerns regarding Ontario's outdated Mining Act, and the potential impacts to land owners who do not own the mineral rights. The proposed revisions to the Mining Act announced by the Ontario government last Thursday appear to go a long way to addressing the concerns of private land owners in Southern Ontario cottage country.
