In addition to several road washouts, the recent localized heavy rains have brought several of the reservoir lakes to new multi-year highs for early July. The affected lakes include: Crystal, Drag, Esson, Gooderham, Halls, Koshlong, Kushog, and Miskwabi. A similar number of additional lakes are at or close to their multi-year high levels for early July. In the month of June Haliburton recorded 241 mm of rain, with 94 mm falling on June 29-30 leading to the rapid rise in water levels and the extreme high levels on some reservoirs.
