The CEWF Executive have been in regular communication with TSW water managers over the winter months. Parks Canada water managers have been closely monitoring the snowpack through their network of remote snow measurement gauges, and the long range weather forecasts across the reservoir lakes area. This week they have begun replacing logs in the reservoir dams. They have been focused in the Gull and Burnt River basins and will move on to the southern reservoirs over the next few days. The goal is to begin filling reservoirs with the strong base flow that exists in the rivers at this time and to capture the snowmelt that is expected with the warmer weather which is in the forecast over the next 2 weeks.
