The second drawdown forecast has now been posted to the TSW Website for the period from August 21 to September 4. Most reservoirs remain above, and some significantly above, normal water levels for this time of year. TSW has begun the drawdown for winter with the goal of getting all lakes to their normal minimum levels by mid October. The forecast is estimated without considering rainfall forecasts which are unpredictable. This means that the forecast reflects what is likely to be the maximum drawdown over the period and rainfall may result in a slower drop in levels. If we get a significant rainfall during this forecast period, the operations will be done to manage excess water accordingly.
