In mid-July the Coalition released an open letter to candidates in the upcoming municipal elections (see July 11 posting). The responses received to date can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate links below. As of October 23rd, 33 candidates have provided responses. We think this demonstrates a keen awareness of the importance of water management issues.
The status of candidate responses for each municipality is shown on the first page of each of the attached files. In particular, we compliment candidates in Algonquin Highlands, Dysart et al, North Kawartha, and Trent Lakes where response rates were over 50%. With mail-in ballots now in the hands of voters we encourage property owners on all reservoir and flow-through lakes to review the responses, or lack thereof, for candidates in their municipality.
