On February 16 Trent-Severn Waterway management has posted a new water management update – click here
CEWF has maintained close contact with the TSW Water Management team. As of Feb 16 the water levels on most reservoir lakes are at or just below seasonal average levels for this date. However river flows remain above average on both the Gull and Burnt rivers and on the downstream Otonabee and Trent Rivers. The current snowpack is also normal or just below normal for the date over most of the reservoir area.
As noted in the water management update, the forecast for next week includes significant rainfall and warm temperatures, and has the potential to produce extensive snow-melt and runoff events possibly impacting reservoir levels and river flows.
