Gull River Reduced Flow Warning from TSW

Flow reductions on the Gull River

Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site

September 12, 2025 – Haliburton, Ontario – Parks Canada is advising the public that flow reductions are currently taking place on the Gull River between Moore Lake (Elliot Falls Dam) and Coboconk Dam. These reductions are being carried out to conduct maintenance work at the control structures.

As part of routine waterway management, Parks Canada crews will be undertaking debris removal between Tuesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 18, 2025. This work will focus on the removal of accumulated tree and spring debris to support safe and effective water flow.

Short-term variations in water levels and flows may be observed during the testing and debris removal period. Parks Canada encourages all river users and shoreline residents to exercise caution during this time.
