TSW Releases Drawdown Forecast September 29 2025
TSW has posted their final drawdown forecast for the year. The log setting at all reservoir dams will be at winter set level in the next few days and many are already at winter set. The goal is to reach minimum levels by Oct 15 in order to protect the trout spawning.
There have been some significant rainfall events in the Trent downstream areas but for the most part it did not extend to Haliburton. Without major rainfall we can expect river flows to stabilize at low levels. TSW will be drawing the Kawartha lakes down to maintain downstream flows. We will be dependent on fall rainfall to stabilize reservoirs at winter levels
