With August starting off much the same as the rest of the summer, the minimum flows and evaporation continue to tax the system. Trends are expected to continue in the “below average water levels” column.

Trends continue in the same direction as for the rest of the summer so far. Rain is very much needed across the entire system.

 

Reservoir Levels Dropping Fast; Property Owners Should Be Attentive

We are experiencing significant rates of drawdown on the reservoir lakes, and in many cases, these reduced levels are several weeks ahead of normal. The TSW Water Management Team has reduced the flows downstream in the system to reduce the demand from the reservoirs however, the reservoir drawdown rate remains significant.

The lack of significant rainfall continues to tax the entire system. Substantial draws on all the lakes continue to keep the reservoirs on a below-average trend leading into the long weekend.
