TSW Releases Drawdown Forecast September 2 2025

As the drawdown is continuing on most reservoirs to maintain minimum flows downstream, the conditions on most lakes remain from 2 to 4 weeks ahead of the normal date for current levels.

Further to the CEWF alert of August 19th, the latest TSW 2-week drawdown forecast puts our lakes at 2 to 4 weeks ahead of a ‘normal’ year, with the drawdown continuing.

This means we are currently experiencing water levels similar to what we would usually see in mid to late September.

With August starting off much the same as the rest of the summer, the minimum flows and evaporation continue to tax the system. Trends are expected to continue in the “below average water levels” column.
