Update from CEWF on TSW Reservoir Dam Operations as of March 11 2026

CEWF continues to maintain ongoing communication with the TSW Water Management Team.

The TSW Water Management Team has been actively adding logs to all accessible reservoir dams to capture as much of the current melt and rainfall runoff as possible. The only dam that has not been accessible has been Anstruther but that dam will be […]

LOW WATER LEVEL ADVISORY

The TSW has issued this advisory for the navigation channels and not necessarily the reservoir lakes. All the dams are at their winter set levels and there is no indication that that is going to change. Reservoir Levels Dropping Fast; Property Owners Should Be Attentive

We are experiencing significant rates of drawdown on the reservoir lakes, and in many cases, these reduced levels are several weeks ahead of normal. The TSW Water Management Team has reduced the flows downstream in the system to reduce the demand from the reservoirs however, the reservoir drawdown rate remains significant.

This means that property owners […]

Trent Severn Waterway – High water levels and flows close part of the system

-CEWF-

What this could mean for the reservoir lakes:

With hazardously high water levels we can expect that the water management strategy will be to keep as much water in the reservoirs as possible until they can normalize the flows downstream. Lakes that are over their high water norms can be expected to stay high, and those […]
